It's been raining non stop for 3 days in São Paulo - and we are led to believe the Saint Peter, the rain "GOD", is protesting too... Can you please stop now?
Anyway, yesterday I chose to strike the rain and rode to work. Wore my London rain jacket and Goretex Salomon shoes. Perfect. But today I decided I shouldn't do that again. I ain't no super women, need to stay healthy and strong. The fact that I couldn't catch a taxi on the big Ave made me start walking towards my office. I'm a lucky girl, live pretty close to work. In 30 minutes I was here, with a big smile on my face. And questioned myself, why haven't I done this before? So simple... The reason: in São Paulo, our society is educated to drive cars everywhere, and that's it. We take a looong time to find out life can be easier (unfortunately some people will never realize it). We don't have to be in New York or London to get on our feet. Ok, these two cities are flat and have a very efficient public transportation system - there are many excuses actually. But I'm sure that you, like me, can simplify your life a little bit. This about it ;-)
